The football team of 1904 was not a success as a winning team. As usual we lacked suitable grounds: thus being handicapped for lack of practice, we were not able to do ourselves justice. To have a successful team, whole hearted interest must be shown by every memeber and not simply by a few memebers of the team.

Through the kindness of Mr. Lane we had grounds for our games, but as they were situated at such a distance from the school that it required too much time for going and coming to get satisfactory practice.

In the Camden games we admit we were honestly beaten but small credit is due OSwego for her victory since they used "ringers" in direct violation of their agreement. Had they played their High School team they would probably have had a different story to tell.

This spring the students  and faculty of the high school raised a sufficient sum to rent an athletic field for the year 1905. It is situated on Port Street between Salina and Court streets. With grounds thus suitable and located near the school, we hope to put forth a winning team in 1905.
